Telangana has reportedly constituted an administrative committee to examine alleged land-related violations across districts after the Assembly’s September 16 discussion on Section 22-A of the Registration Act. The committee is chaired by A. Sridevasena, Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education, according to a report quoting the order. Her designation is listed on the State Board of Technical Education and Training Telangana website.
The reported terms cover government, assigned, ceiling-surplus, Jagir, Bhoodan, Inam and forest land, along with land acquisition, rehabilitation, water bodies and land records. The committee may requisition records, data, personnel and other assistance from departments, collectors and local bodies. It may recommend action if violations are found; it has not found any yet.
