TG Transco IPO: paperwork still missing
A report says Telangana plans to sell 26% of TG Transco. Official records located so far do not show a cabinet decision, DRHP, PwC appointment or SEBI filing.
The reported stake sale has yet to appear in the official paperwork.
A report says the Telangana government has decided to sell 26% of its stake in TG Transco through an IPO. The paperwork, however, has not arrived for the story.
TG Transco’s website describes the company as Telangana’s transmission corporation, established on June 2, 2014. Its 2024–25 annual-report material identifies D. Krishna Bhaskar, IAS, as chairman and managing director, and Srinivasulu Yoruganti as director (Finance, Commercial and HRD). Neither source records a stake sale, DRHP or IPO plan. The Telangana Power Coordination Committee’s official regulatory material also does not show a decision to appoint PwC or approve a share sale.
The SEBI material consulted contains no TG Transco DRHP or public-issue filing, and no NSE or BSE listing record was located. The report also alleges Union government pressure and a warning restricting employees from speaking to the media, but no supporting letter, circular or office order was found. The report does not name a cabinet decision or publish an on-record response from the Telangana government, TG Transco, the Energy Department or PwC.
For now, 26% is a reported number, not an established government decision. Even the rumour has not filed its paperwork.
