The ‘drama’ had suspensions, protests and a mock Assembly
The BJP’s Congress–BRS collusion claim is a political argument. The disruption is on record.
The Assembly session produced a record of disruption—and a second venue.
The Telangana Assembly session may have been many things, but undocumented was not one of them. It ran until September 12, BRS MLAs were suspended after disruptions, and the party staged a mock Assembly at Telangana Bhavan after being barred from the House. Politics, apparently, now comes with a backup venue.
BJP floor leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy called the session a Congress–BRS “drama”, alleging that both parties worked together to keep the BJP from raising public issues. He also cited claims of 23 lakh acres being alienated through about 13,000 Dharani-era transactions and asked why the alleged forensic audit had not been made public. Those figures remain unverified: the audit and an official Assembly transcript were not located in the available record.
The record does show confrontation, disruption and a Section 22-A debate. It does not prove the BJP’s larger conspiracy claim. It also leaves one small detail requiring an official answer: were 21 or 22 BRS MLAs suspended? The Congress government and BRS have not publicly answered the collusion allegation identified in the available reports. The BJP has found a drama; so far, it has not produced the script.
