The Paradise gets ₹500 premiere permission
Telangana’s reported approval is temporary, capped and more specific than the usual ticket-price fog. The government memo remains unseen.

Telangana has reportedly allowed one paid special show of The Paradise at 6:30 pm on September 23, ahead of the film’s reported September 24 release. The ticket price is ₹500, including GST, according to multiple reports. A small mercy in an industry where “historic opening” usually arrives before the film does.
The reported permission also allows higher prices for five shows a day: ₹48 extra at single screens and ₹95 at multiplexes and special theatres from September 24 to 27; those additions fall to ₹23 and ₹45 respectively from September 28 to October 3. The structure is temporary and capped, not a blank cheque for theatres.
But the Home Department memo said to authorise this — Memo No. 21/HOME-GEN2/2026 — has not been published on an accessible government portal and was not available for independent verification. Reports also conflict over whether the producer’s welfare contribution is ₹1 crore or ₹1 lakh. The ticket permissions are corroborated reporting; the memo is still playing hide-and-seek.
