The Paradise ticket hike met its own plot twist
Reports said Telangana approved a ₹500 special show and temporary ticket increases. A later High Court proceeding reportedly asked the Home Department to reconsider the memo.

Telangana reports said The Paradise received permission for a ₹500 special screening at 6.30pm on September 23, a day before its reported theatrical release. The same reports said temporary ticket increases were allowed for five shows a day from September 24 to October 3. Cinema pricing, now with a legal subplot.
The permission was attributed to a September 20 Home Department memo, reportedly signed by Principal Secretary Shikha Goel, for M/s Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. But the reported welfare condition cannot be stated cleanly: some reports say ₹1 crore, another says ₹1 lakh, while one reproduced version says ₹1,00,000 in words as “one crore”. The arithmetic has declined the role of supporting actor.
A September 23 report said the Telangana High Court directed the Home Department to reconsider and withdraw the memo. It also reported questions about compliance with G.O.Ms.No.77 and an earlier direction involving public disclosure of ticket-hike proposals 90 days before release. The court order itself was not available in the research, and the Home Department’s formal follow-up is unconfirmed. The memo, at least for now, has been asked to face a review before facing the audience.
