Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy held a presser in Hyderabad accusing the BJP and the BRS of “deliberately obstructing Telangana’s development” — from semiconductors to the Musi, the RRR and Metro — and of running “false propaganda” against the state government. Those are his claims; he offered no paper trail to go with them. According to the report of his remarks, he also said the Centre cleared the Chief Minister’s UK visit but denied political clearance for the US leg.
On that travel dispute, the record is not shy. The BJP‑led Centre’s Ministry of External Affairs confirmed clearance for the UK and denial for the US, citing that “the programme… should be appropriate to the office held and the purpose of the visit.” Telangana’s own notes show the CM in London, pitching education and institutional links, including outreach to Oxford. What the Centre has not explained is why those meetings fit in London but not in the United States.
On the rest, Congress is waving at outcomes it has not put names and files to. If a semiconductor project “intended for Telangana” was diverted to Gujarat, name the project, show the MeitY approval list, the company’s letter and the date it moved. The MeitY document in view lists sanctioned fabs — it does not show one taken from Telangana and handed to Gujarat. Musi rejuvenation, the RRR and Metro Phase‑2 are real state proposals on paper; obstruction by the BJP or the BRS needs something sturdier than a press conference. A rejection order, a withheld sanction, a funding note — pick one and publish it.
So yes: the BJP‑led Centre blocked the CM’s US leg while green‑lighting the UK, and dressed it up as protocol. Beyond that, Congress has homework. The BJP and the BRS have had plenty to say on TV; neither has answered this with documents.
