Telangana’s flagship public build in Warangal — the 2,018-bed Super Speciality Hospital — is on the home stretch, according to an official state health presentation that lists it as “95% completed”. The document names the project and the bed count; it does not describe it as a cancer hospital or rank it against others.
Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha has said the Warangal hospital — along with TIMS units — would be made available to the public by the end of this year. Read: December 31, 2026. That’s a readiness promise, not a line-by-line guarantee that every department will be clinically live on day one.
An item on the state portal touts a December 9 target in a broader 7,000-bed programme across multiple sites. It does not, on its face, set a Warangal go-live date or call it an oncology-only facility.
