KTR has alleged a massive expansion of Telangana’s prohibited-land list and questioned the Congress government’s land-record process. The official portal confirms a grievance mechanism, not the alleged land grab.

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao has alleged that Telangana’s prohibited-properties list grew from 16 lakh acres under the BRS government to 1.16 crore acres under the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He made the claim at Telangana Bhavan on September 11, according to a report published the same day.
KTR also alleged that 800 acres at Samudralingapur in Gambhiraopet mandal were added to the list, and that land in Future City valued at Rs 200 crore was being given to a company linked to Revanth Reddy’s brother for Rs 7 crore. No transfer document, valuation report, tender or company filing supporting those claims was located in the material reviewed. The Congress government has not publicly answered these specific allegations.
The official Bhu Bharati portal confirms that citizens can search the prohibited-properties list and file grievances, including where an entire survey number was marked despite only part being acquired. That is a functioning route for correction; it is not proof of the alleged land-grab mechanism. Twenty-two BRS MLAs, including KTR and T. Harish Rao, were suspended for the rest of the Assembly session on September 9 over disruption. KTR’s claim that the suspensions were meant to silence land-related scrutiny remains unconfirmed. The government has published a grievance window. It has not published the acreage ledger that would explain the headline number.
