Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has alleged that a university account linked to a KCR aide held more than Rs 400 crore. No university, account holder or supporting record has been identified.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has alleged that a university account linked to a close associate of former chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao held more than Rs 400 crore. He also questioned the source of the money, according to a report published on September 12.
The allegation remains just that. The university, alleged aide, account details, date of the balance and document behind the figure have not been identified. No bank record, audit report, inquiry file or official transcript confirming it was available in the material reviewed. The alleged institution and aide have not publicly responded in the available record, and the BRS’s response was not found.
The government’s broader fee-reimbursement position is better documented. A July 2024 state release recorded Revanth Reddy acknowledging accumulated arrears and promising timely payments. A September summary attributed to Assembly remarks said the government planned to release Rs 200 crore a month against a reported Rs 2,500-crore liability, with scrutiny of colleges. The Assembly transcript and an official order confirming those figures were not located.
The Congress government has supplied a large number, but not yet the file that would make it more than a headline.
