Farmers protested over unreliable agricultural power supply across several Telangana districts on September 10 and 11, 2026. Reports recorded protests at Kammarpally and Vittalapur in Siddipet, Yellampet in Mahabubabad, and Nelakondapalli in Khammam, among other locations. At Vittalapur, farmers burned an effigy of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and demanded uninterrupted supply. (Telangana Today)
A report put the statewide protest count at 16 substations and said farmers were receiving about eight hours of supply. That figure has not been independently verified. Local complaints varied: six to 10 hours in Nelakondapalli and less than six reliable hours in Peddagudem. BRS representatives were reported at some protests, but the evidence does not establish that the party organised the entire action. The Congress government has yet to publish the feeder-wise schedule, interruption logs or a list of the alleged 16 substations. For now, the farmers have produced the protest; the government has not produced the power record.
