Rashmika gets Subbulakshmi role; Anirudh gets the music
Geetha Arts has announced Rashmika Mandanna as M.S. Subbulakshmi in MS – A Legacy On Screen, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
The film was announced at Chennai’s Music Academy, with its launch scheduled for September 16.
Rashmika Mandanna will play Carnatic legend M.S. Subbulakshmi in MS – A Legacy On Screen, a project announced by Geetha Arts on September 15. Gowtam Tinnanuri is directing and Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music. The announcement, unlike most film announcements, supplied the names before supplying three paragraphs of adjectives. The film’s launch is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, at the Music Academy in Chennai, marking Subbulakshmi’s 110th birth anniversary. Kamal Haasan is listed as chief guest.
